Founded by Peter Segstro and the late Lawrence Ling the Audio Room provided customers with a selection of unique brands. The two partners opened the Audio Room in the mid nineties.  In these days, the Audio Room was seen as a haven for audiophiles and new comers as well as to provide clients expert help and guidance.  The addition of Kurt to the team  helped younger generations become audio enthusiasts. The Audio Rooms continual goal to be better, has led to the addition of new products, renovated hi-fi rooms and a home theater auditorium.

Key Team Members:

Operations Director (15 years in industry):  Kurt has always had a passion for audio and even built his first speaker before the age of 16.  He has worked in the retail and distribution in the audio video industry. This wealth of experiences has  cultivated an expertise with many products and aspects of the industry. Kurt has worked many trade show by setting up audio systems which where recognized as some of the best sounding rooms of the show.

General Consultant (45 yrs in industry):  Pete  is the General Consultant and previous store manager. He has been with the Audio Room since the store opened. He has helped establish and brand many stores in Calgary. Although he may not be in the store as much as he would like, he continually provides input and consultation.

Sales consultant (4 yrs in industry): Gord was a long term client at the Audio Room before he worked here. He may the least experience in the industry,  but he is still able to provide a wealth of knowledge that he has learned through the years as an audio enthusiast. He is also cabinet maker by trade which allows him to help design and build custom home theatre and media rooms.

Install Coordinator (24 yrs in industry):  Greg has spent 15yrs as an custom audio video designer. He is a good eye for building and designing home theatre and media rooms.  Greg has worked as a General contractor and gives us added value when designing a whole house solution or retrofitting. He also has 9 yrs experience in structured wiring,  integration and home automation.

Install Lead (25 yrs in industry): He has many years in the low voltage industry and has worked in many aspects such as security, integration and automation. He has worked on everything from track housing to multi million dollar homes. As a Network engineer he specializes and handles most of our networking and programming for our clients.
